Engineer Mohamed Ghabashi, Secretary General of the Real Estate Developers Association, revealed the association's strategic plan for 2026, which aims to develop the work system in the real estate sector and enhance the role of developers as a key partner of the state in implementing comprehensive urban development plans.
In his speech during the first conference of the Real Estate Developers Association, entitled “Developers Summit: Leadership in Construction and Responsibility in Development,” he emphasized,The association’s vision since its inception has been based on a commitment to continuous development and building an integrated community of real estate developers working alongside the state to achieve sustainable development. He noted that all members of the association and its companies have witnessed a remarkable expansion in the size of their investments and their active participation in urban development projects during the past period.
He explained that the association's mission is to maximize the role of the real estate sector in supporting the national economy, provide real investment opportunities, and offer a high-quality real estate product that meets market needs and keeps pace with global standards.
The Secretary-General pointed out that the association's plan for next year is based on a number of key pillars, foremost among them being the development and continuous education of workers in the real estate sector. The association has already begun implementing this vision by launching the first specialized training course in artificial intelligence targeting department managers in member companies.
He added that the association aims to launch a specialized real estate academy during 2026 to qualify and develop the workforce in the real estate market, in addition to providing at least 500 new job opportunities for young people within the real estate companies that are members of the association.
The plan also includes launching a comprehensive real estate market awareness program that focuses on the importance of credibility and professionalism, enhancing the sector's role in providing community services throughout the year, as well as organizing ongoing activities, providing investment support to members, and holding specialized seminars and conferences.
He explained that the association intends to organize a local and international real estate exhibition featuring projects by member real estate companies, in addition to working on providing a permanent headquarters for the association that offers integrated services befitting its members.
He noted that the plan includes preparing a professional code of ethics to regulate working mechanisms among developers, launching a specialized podcast to be the voice of real estate developers, as well as transforming the association into a permanent dialogue platform and an effective communication bridge between the state and developers, thus opening the door to genuine partnerships between the public and private sectors, especially in the areas of social and middle-income housing.
The association also seeks to provide opportunities to supply small plots of land to meet market needs, and to participate in developing the licensing system in new cities, while listening to the visions and experiences of workers abroad.
